Always seems to fall when I have no money. I wanted to go in 2003 but had no money. I am moderately friendly with a guy off the net and asked him if I could stay with him. He said no way he lives 250km away. Couldnt explain to him that in Australia 250km is not much more than a trip to the shops to buy bread. Had the money last year... but bought land and now have no money.
Camberg would be the ultimate in nirvana for classic VW's, all those beautiful 25 and 36horses, the coachbuilts... you could die there and be totally happy.
I should start a stash of money under the mattress where it is safe from 'others', could be ready by 2011. What do you reckon the costs would be. And what the hell would I eat? do they have vegemite in Deutchland? Not enough vitamins in beer.

no vegemite 'thank god' just yummy food that you cant get here.. blasted convict settlement..

How sweet would it be to have an oval cabrio, let alone a split cabrio. Im assuming Brezel is a split beetle... but what would be a Zelensis? a coachbuilt? stupid babelfish. and waht about a brezel CCG?

Vegemite is made from the leftovers (waste) yeast from the breweries. So a beer diet would be all good.

I am back in blighty for the wifes mothers weddding. Be good to make it in my rat look oval if I ever get to finish it.
spa in belgium is also getting some good uk coverage and there is also the bridge from denmark to sweden too.
which looks pretty mental. I also have athing for cars on ferries ;-)
A vdub promoter who has moved to france has also invited people down in may. Think a shed load of desireable cars, and there is a vdub show on in france too.
The last time I went to the love parade it was cancelled and we only found out on the plane. So you can see what my organising skills are like ;-)
not going to be cheap but should be way fun. My folks are also looking to decamp to the county so I should have plenty of room if anyone wants a few nights free accomodation and some serious ales.

they haven't sold there place yet but are looking at around glastonbury. My wife and me are able to find a good beer from miles away. Got to be a nice local to them where ever they move too. Even Wetherspoons has some fine ales T.E.A aonyone. God I haven't had a pint of bitter in ages. CAMRA man have a lot to answer for the angels ;-)

This is the rough idea (depending on $!): I have wedding in London in late May. Then I might backpack around for a few weeks and end up at Bad Camburg. I've wanted to go ever since I read about it in early 1991. I'm happy to travel with/meet up with anyone else with similar ideas, or meet Aussies at Camburg. Whatever...!

Got Run to the Sun at the end of may. Which is a big cruise and party down to Newquay in Cornwall from london. Which is 300 miles and a long way for the pommes ;-) might be a bit chavie now.
