Spook Driving the 64 wheeler

The house across the road from me is owned by a bloke who makes surf films. He comes here for R & R.

He's been here this week & his house guests are pro surfers, ex pro surfers & members of his crew. None short a quid.

I get home the other day & he has a houseful. The street is filled with new BMW's, a Mercedes, an MG & one had one of those Holden wagons that look like a 4wd (for getting the jet skis in & out of the water)

There was a few of them sitting out the front so I sung out,
"What's wrong with this picture?? How is it the 250 pound biker has a fleet of Kombi's, & the shark f#ckers have got beamers??"

Then the funniest thing happened.
To a man, they asked if they could come over & have a closer look at my fleet.

So here's all these blokes saying how great it would be to cruise to Byron in my 57 without so much as a fuel gauge, when the cheapest of their cars was the 50 grand Holden!

Every one of them at one stage had owned a beetle or kombi.

The answer to my question: Surfy types do own VWs, til they get a quid.

Yeah, then they get bored with driving/riding in the same expensive car with a different badge over and over again, and they think:

"You know, I really should buy myself a nice, restored dub, for something different."

Nice enough bunch of blokes though.

I got them going when I asked where the line was drawn between pro surfer & dole bludger, because the two look a lot alike to me.

the couple that live behind mum and dad are both god of the companies they work at and so there are always freinds turning up in jags, porsches and statesmans etc

but one of them has a little Fiat 500 bambino in absolutley mint condition its red with whitewalls and its such a cute little car
u can here the little aircooled 2 cylinder engine and crashbox tranny coming from a mile away LOL
