Hi,
Can anyone help me with how to put pictures into my posts? I can see that I can add an attachment, but when I preview the post, I don't see a pic. Is an attachment the way to do it?

easiest way is to use photobucket (free, just sign up for an account)
upload your photos there and there'll be three links under the photo:

URL Link

HTML Tag

IMG Code

just click on the link in the IMG Code box and copy that into your post

If you want to use the add attachment button, you will need to make sure that the pictures are less than 50kb. Theres an upload limit. I use a program called easy thumbnails to resize my pics. Its a free download with no embedded nasties. http://www.fookes.com/

I just add pics from My computer..
just make sure they are under 100kb in size...

I edit all My pics and rename them as they are always too large to post....

I click on Browse... find the photo..
this pic is 35.6kb in size....

I haven't learnt how to take them off places like photobucket etc....

it probably depends on what program You store Your pics in Your computer and a few other things...

I know sometimes MY pics come in up inside another page and large in size [still under the 100kb though]
and other times, they appear as a thumbnail and are clicked on to get a larger view...

Really, I don't know much more than You :P:P:P:P

that pic is an attachment...
but I did the exactly same thing to download it...

it must have been how I SAVED the pic in the first place...

Best of luck

Thanks guys. Your suggestions have got me going. You can see the results in my post, a couple above this one. (I used the pic bucket thing).

Lee. Your enthusiasm is inspirational.😁
