a few easy questions to help me out

I have just gotten another vw and im not sure what year it is, been told its a 70 1500. its got the swing axle rear and disc front. and i have a few question. 1st of all. what muffler would be the best for street. with merged headers. a phat boy, a hide away or those new euro ones that are like a beefier version of the stock muffler. and where is the best place to get a carpet kit that is easy to install. like the 8 piece ones or what ever. cheers for the help guys.
