Bad idea & I'll tell you why;

There is a policy on AVD that thou shalt not slag off at ANYBODY, least of all someone supplying a goods or service, irrespective of how justified you think you are.

Now, if your happy, fine. If you aint, it will turn into a shitfight in 3 seconds flat!!!

Have a look at ebay when someone gets negative feedback. Watch how quickly & savagely they bite.
You really want that here??

If your happy with a deal, then by all means tell the world. If not grin & bare it.
But having it as some sort of prerequisite would invite trouble.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

Good idea if it's a watch out for this trader/person/product type thing and if it saves someone else getting ripped of ,I'm all for it-- as for the grin and bare it philosophy well I'm more a grin and litigate type of person so that attitude just dosen't fly with me --but hey thats just me--.
I know one thing for sure that that type of reponse section has saved me heaps on one other forum in particular.
As for the bun fights---love em--.
Just my 2 bobs worth,
Cheers All ,
Al .

The BEST way is to use the U2U function and perhaps ask other members if they have dealt with the "seller" before and what they thought.I've done this several times using the "search" function for the seller and asking people who have bought from them of their experience with that seller, or if they care to comment, descretely. It has also influenced who I have bought from.At least this way no dirty laundry is aired in a public place and I've made my own decisions as to weather or not I buy from someone. If you have been on the forum for a period of time you do get to "know" people on here and you get a feel for what the people selling are like.If in doubt, don't buy. This is a VW forum,NOT Ebay.....just my opinion though.

When people ask for advice on buying products I usually use the U2U facility and tell them of MY experiences....
not made up stories...
Just the truth....

If I did this in a normal post...
POW !! :vader:repuke:repuke

It wouldn't be nice.....

You only have to look at feedback on ebay, when its negative....

Not nice.... turns ugly...

Not a good idea.... Keep it in U2Us....

Kinda off subject with feedback turning nasty.
I bought a ebay item from a guy in the US. Anyhow, I waited 3 months even tho it was send airmail. Nothing came, so I handed over a negitive with "item never recieved". Now I get daily emails from this guy how he is going to kill me etc etc and do many things to me were the sun dont shine etc etc. Plus he signs my email address to all types of spam.
End of the day I wasted US$200 to this guy, but for the money I get a morning death emails that are quite humouriess.
Murder, death, kill, morning to you all:P

Also, when ppl can hide behind an avatar and name other than their own they tend to be more bitchy and stand up than face to face.

It was tried on the first forum.. and yes... it was bad...
I think i had 57 U2U's regarding reported posts a day on how shoddy somepeople were...
And i think most of them were just trolling for a responce.

By all means... post that you are satisfied with your purchase.... say how good it was...
I dont mind reading great responces....
