Anyone give me a list of parts I need to grab from the donor. I am gonna hook the air back up, so EJ has the air on it still.
Just wanna make sure I grab the essential parts.
Cheers

Your bus is an auto so will need some auto tickling to make it work with the EJ.... EZ to sort that out if it is.... I have attached the info.... You will need to mod the shift cam (governer) in the side of the box and you should add an external trans cooler too.... The OEM water box item is not up to the task....crewcabconnection wrote:Thanks Hellbus, always good advice. Auto kick down? why is that going to be an issue ... more info please?

Your not running a WBX Auto in your bay are you Col?.... You have the OG TII auto don't you?.... The T25/3 Auto is an entirely different animal... And besides.... Not everyone wants to be a granny driver like you! :kiss.... Some peeps like to actually let their engines do as they were designed to and rev.... 3200 rpm shifts are pointless with the EJ engine.... the power is higher in the rev range... Besides... These mods can be achieved in a weekend..... (says the guy who still hasn't finished his SVX conversion!!)... Hahaha!Kombicol wrote:Changing the shift on the auto is really not necessary, just for those who like to rev the tits off their engine. I have the stock 010 auto in my bay (same as yours without the external cooler). There is an accelerator cable to the auto kickdown lever in the bay, then a mechanical linkage to the carbs. I simply done away with the mechanical linkage, and made a short accel cable which goes from the kickdown lever to the throttle body. job done. Still kicks down quite well.
Agree external air to trans fluid cooler is a good idea though.
