who has top strut braces as i am after one for my 72 super, what sellers are there that can supply or an engineering firm that can manufacture.
:thumb
you could check out any local eng. firm to make you one, could be quite expensive, or try a wanted post in the for sale section.
im going to make one for my super
i used one from a 180sx, which i modified but only because they werent around at the time when i wanted onei know john sherman makes the chrome ones and also some of the vw stores carry them like classic veedub. ie the empi one

very easy to make - a couple bits of flat steel around the strut tops and a 'bridge' in between them :thumb

I bought a chrome one, pretty happy with it, though it is heavy and i think the brackets are going to get a few fillets welded on to make them stronger!!
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!
Most people over-engineer strut braces for road use - because they work in tension (not compression as most people believe) they only need to be thin. They also need to run straight between the centres of the tops of the struts, not canted backwards or etc

Hi
I made mine from 25 mm square steel tube with a 1/4 inch plate over the strut tops. I didn't make mine adjustable at all. I also have 2 diagonal bars which attach to the pan on the boot floor.
Steve
hey thats neat.
hmmm lets see what i can do
cool neater tham mine but pretty is just not me as anyone who has seen my rod will testerfie
👍👍😂🙅🥷😬🤓
i made up an adjustable one for my bug similar to toplines one with 1/4" plates and 1" solid rod

Steve, that's not a strut brace - that's a full front end reinforcing frame!

borrowed the folks camera for dubs so heres a few pics
i made it myself so its no show pony but the improvement to the handling is unbeleiveable
the materials cost me nothing and 2 hours on the welder and hot axe was no effort
