Does anyone know if you can purchase CO2 filters for a car.

I finally saw An Inconvenient Truth and I want to do my bit as much as possible. Is there something I can 'bolt on' to my muffler to help filter or at least reduce my emissions. I already have a cat converter.Has anyone seen one or seen someone selling something that is legit?

Thanks in advance

you cant "filter" out c02 from your emissions. its a by-product of combustion engines, and it has to come out somewhere. catalytic converters do their bit, but the only real way to lower your c02 emissions is to use a more enviro-friendly engine.

unfortunately aircooled Vw engines arnt very emmission efficient due to their simplicity.

Drive slower (use less petrol too), use public transport where available, ride a push bike or walk instead.
Also avoid indigestion, as methane is an even more potent greenhouse gas.😂

what you can do is convert your VW to EFI. this will enable a much better tune and make it more enviro friendly. a twin plug/cyl conversion will further enable it to burn more completely and run smoother.

catastrophic coverters are only good once they have been running at full heat for more than 20min. guess what the average trip to work takes? that's right 20min. before they warm up, the fuel input required to get them to heat up pumps more nasty chemicals into the air than a non cat car. food for thought. 😉
