2007 Jamboree open workshop night
Well its coming around again , another action packed weekend starting with a look on what goes on behind the scene at DELUX in Dandenong.
On Friday night 23rd at 8pm the doors are open.
Come down for a look at whats involved in Volkswagen and Porsche restoration.
BBQ provided and BYO drinks.

Hey guys how did it go? anyone get pix?
Will post some soon. It was a great nite. It was good to put names to faces etc.
Now as we all know we really need some rain but as it turned out the rain did stop once we arrived at Delux.
Out came the BQQ and on came the flood lights.
Heaps of really nice cars parked up and a few hosting what must have been big cc's.
Big thanks to Sasha for hosting the night and showing us his workshop and the great range of work that he can do.
I know where I'm going for my next exhaust!

Nice workshop.
Just a brief note to thank all the people who turned up to the BBQ. A great night was had by all and very was pleasing to see some new faces keeping the Volkswagen scene well and truly alive.
Just a pity the rain kept all the trailer queens at home.
It was also quite interesting to see some heads up Drag racing between VW2180 and CRZBUG. Two large displacement normally aspirated beetles going for it was quite an impressive sound. CRZBUG proved to be too strong, however both beetles are making remarkably good power for street cars.
Quite a vast array of cars turned up showing a good cross section of the diverse styles of cars being built in the present day. Its quite refreshing to see people stepping out a little and not following the "same oldformula"
I would also like to thank Nathan and Anthony for their time in putting this weekend together and keeping the spirit of Modified Volkswagens alive.

The Kombi was completed 18mnths ago but unfortunately within 2mnths of its completion it was rear ended by a 4 tonne truck, resulting in an insurance write off.
It had all been repaired now and just awaiting a re paint of all the damaged areas.
It is actually a Satin Black and Pink combination. The Pink is made up of a combination of House of Kolor Marbelizer, Candy pink and Sno Ice Pearl resulting in a one of eye catching combination.
The car will be finished in about a month and will be at this years DOTVW.

I am thinking of taking the notch home to finish it, as unfortunately I am always too busy with customers projects at work. It kills me each time I walk past it.
So stay tuned..... as it may begin to progress after sitting for 4 yrs.
