Hi there
I'm after an old style sports steering wheel for my '71 Notchback.. preferebly something 60's or 70's looking like the Empi GTV wheel.
If anyone has something cheap(ish) doesn't have to be perfect, let me know! :kiss

*BUMP* Took bushed's advice and updated the title!

jo, u will find u need an olde column to go with it etc

i have both 50's and 60's to fit incl columns...e-mail me for pics (click below)
but there may be an issue with rwc cert in your state. so a bit costly all round
also the blinker switch/wiring set-up will need to be looked at also high/lowbeam switch.

Well i'm more looking for wheels to fit my car as it is... without swapping over the steering column

I don't mind if the steering wheel was made recently.. as long as it looks oldish..

For example i really like the one in this thread!

I bought the steering wheel in the link you provided... I am not using it however I dont know if it will bolt straight onto your car. It bolted onto my 74Lbug without needing a different steering column - if someone can shed some light on whether or not it will fit your car I'd be happy to sell it on.

(There is nothing wrong with the wheel - I just found a purple one to match my car 👍 )

Damn... apparantly that steering wheel for a 74 L bug won't fit my car 🙁

Do you have a pic of the one you have stacyb?

No probs guys..
I love the one on ebay there.. but its a little to expensive at the moment..
I'm not sure if my car has the late or early spline, but it has an standard early style steering wheel at the moment (type with the horn ring)
