Very pretty. My first motorbike was a Lambretta Model D 125. If one of them came up for auction I might be interested.

Learned to ride on a vespa when I was very young. Won't upset me never to ride one again.

For mine, they are one of the most dangerous things ever imported. Not a failing in the scooter as much as 8 inch wheels & Australian potholes don't mix well.

They have a bit in common with the split kombi, in that 20 years ago you couldn't give them away.
Now the vespa has become a status symbol too.

Seems very popular with the latte crowd.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

Thanks for the offer caffinepusherman, but I want a model D only and maybe an LD for parts.

I rode a Vespa for a while. I found the weight offset with the engine out to one side a bit strange. Watch a Vespa travelling from behind. The have lean to one side.

Talking of scooters - anyone know if there is a scooter club here in Adelaide??

I have a '59 Vespa 150 and miss the scooter rallys of the UK, it would be good to hook up with some other scooter owners.

VW's and Vespas, funny how they seem to go together, I bought my first Vespa 25 years ago for $90.00 from a bicycle shop, I have 3 at the moment, any one want a nice 2003 PX200?

T34, you should find some info on Adelaide Scooter clubs here,
