Own up, who on this forum will admit to actually talking to their dubs when there's no one around. I only ask as it sort of came up (via me!) on another topic. Now I have been known in the past to talk to/swear at/cajole my vehicles so I'm hoping someone else will save me from from the funny farm by confirming I'm not the only one.............................Please!
I remember about 6 years ago I really need my dub to get me somewhere and it just refused to start. I cursed and carried on and lost it and kicked the hubcap (in a half arsed way as I didn't *really* want to hurt it.) I failed to remember I was wearing steel capped boots at the time and left a bit of a dent in the hubcap.
I have since refrained from repeating this performance and now rely solely on verbal abuse, harrasment and carry out regular maintenance to avoid this from happening.:thumb

Hmmm I get a better response from the VW's sometimes than if I mutter to the missus. Anyway! Maybe it is just me? Yeah?

I talk to Edith all the time..and my son always goes and hugs her (he calls her ojay)..and we jump in and she takes us where we need to go...
And I love sitting in blue belle..talking about how good and patient she's been...discussing the up and coming plans for her...working out if she's agreeing or not. (You don't want them to disagree with a modification, otherwise they won't perform even remotely nicely for u)
and ur not sane ancientbugger...but it has nothing to do with whether or not ur talking to the bug...that part of ur life is NORMAL! Its the rest u should worry about! :P

The only way to stay sane is to tell anyone listening how you feel? Talk to your car everyday keeps the shrink away! I have a tendency to talk to my tools, the car or the dog when I am working on the my bug.

yep, I whenever she plays up and my friends start saying things about her, I just tell them to talk nicely to her. I do.
