Neil Penboss, Craig Hughes, Peter Page and Rod Richardson put together a VW Drag Racing Static Display at the Brisbane Hot Rod & Street Machine Show at the RNA Show Grounds this weekend gone.
The display featured three drag VW's and one street VW, along with a DVD that Peter compiled from some Drag Racing events in Qld.
Plans are underway for next year, so if you'd like to join in, keep in touch.

Neil's Drag Beetle 'Bugger' (not in this display, but upstairs in the Qld Drag Club setup) won 2nd in competition engine and first in competition display. The V8 tintop guys couldn't believe a bug one a best engine trophy - after all, it's only half a drag car block!
Glad to see you guys doing it. I dont think most people in the hot rod world realise how fast you can get a VW to go. most think they are old peoples shopping trolleys.
