Splitty roof rack..

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever seen an 8 legged suction cup split kombi roof rack. I have one which needs a little bit of work. It appears to be full length......The fellow I got it off, said his dad had a 57 panel many years ago and this was always on it....sorry the panel is no longer around.......I know beetle were really the ones with suction cup roof racks, but I have never seen one for a splitty....

Just thought if someone else has an old photo, any related pics or any feedback.... would be interested to hear from anyone who has asked the same question........cheers zsolt brisbane..
