Gday dubbers,,

Chasing advice (yet again),,, LOL,, I'm heading out in the morning to check out a 1987 Mk1 cabriolet and am after some tips from those in the know,, Car looks pretty clean from the pictures, it is an import, needs carby work too..

Any ideas on stuff to look for, and what its worth?

one of the big things to check is crank case pressure, or blow back, theres a breather at the back of the engine its a bugger to replace, but i would change that as soon as poss unless you have firm proof of it being changed recently!
if theres lots of smoke or gas coming from the rocker breather this is a sign the case breather needs changing, you mentioned the carby needing attention, is it oily? if so 100% change the crank breather! hope that helps. jon
