Sorry that I was not that specific before. I am looking for Type I parts. Am not looking to sell to the "poms" as I do not even know what that is. I have a right hand drive beetle and have converted a manx to right hand drive also. A few of my friends also have right hand drive cars and so am looking for spares and missing pieces.
poms are brits
and is it oval or later 6volt ot 12 volt t1

late model 6v parts dash bits need to have trim but as far as the pedals go it can all be the late stamped steel style. I am not a big fan of the earlier pedals that are cast. Thanks-Chris
bushed, I'll correct you there,
POM = Prisonor Of her Majesty
"not BRITS"
SORRY BOUT THAT!
empikg
I'll correct you there!
POM or Pommy = pomegranate, eg: the colour most pale folk of english descent go when they are exposed to too much sunshine.
The old Prisoner of some royal thing was disproved.
Quote from "Dr Bruce Moore, who heads the Australian National Dictionary Centre at the Australian National University, says the history of the word shows it is largely inoffensive, even affectionate.
"Moore said popular belief had it that Pom was an acronym for Prisoner of Mother (England).
"But this is as barmy as the army," he said.
"From 1860 `jimmygrant', rhyming slang for immigrant, was used contemptuously of new chums from Britain, from the red of the pomegranate, perhaps referring to the ruddy complexion of new arrivals.
"As often happens with rhyming slang, the rhyming element disappeared (as with `Noah' for Noah's ark - shark, `she's apples' for she's apples and spice - nice), and we were left with Pommy then Pom."
So there you are, so long as the sun shines, you'll still be a pom 😉 just kidding mate, see you in 12 months at Valla 😀

a quick question, why on earth do you have a rhd car in the USA, when there are thousands of LHD VW's to choose from?
how much easier would it be when trying to get parts!

Exactly the point - To be different.
I chat on a few US site and it is a bit of a craze at the moment.
There are HEAPS of every sort of bug over there - except factoru RHD's
So........................
Futue te ipsum!!!
A bit of a craze? they would have to import RHD bugs from here or the UK. Now, based on the exchange rates plus shipping costs they would be paying way over the odds for car that is exactly the same as thousands of other cars except the steering wheel is on the wrong side, makes this a strange craze.
I could understand it if Bugs were rare (like Poms importing aussie split buses) but for something they can find dirt cheap in their own back yard makes no sense at all.

I have this rhd beetle for about five years now and about to finally get it on the road.
It kinda of ticks me off that here in the usa it has just become the new cool thing to have.
I built this car to be different and now everyone is doing the same thing, I have a grip of accesories to put on still and now that is the trend also. Sometimes you just can't be different no matter how hard you try.

RHD stuff is the US is bring top dollars and has been for a long while there have been lots of people on here wanting RHD stuff its very expensive
