Took the seats out of the Fastback today ready for trimmers bloody hard to do.

In the process I have broken two small clips on each seat. They look like they possibly hold the seat in to stop it sliding all the way out. Are these replace able? And where actually do they go?

Secondly the seat rails in the car have a plastic covering that flips over. Two of these are broken can these be sourced?

Will post some pics of what I'm talking about when I can get some pics in the daylight!

If the clips you're talking about are on the front seats between the seat and tunnel.. you have to push those down while silding the seat fowards to get it out.
Don't know about repairing them sorry!
And the plastic runner things always break. As far as i know no-one makes replacements 🙁
Mine are broken but i just sort of put them back together and slid the seat over them to hold them in place.
DON'T try putting the seat back on without them... the seat will rock all over the place while you're driving and it'll feel awful!!

Thanks Jo I was wondering about the plastic bits and was going to see if I could chuck em thanks for the advice. Will be easy to re-use just putting them back in like a jigsaw.

Broke both the spring clips - they sheared off - will have to try and find some replacements - is their job to stop the seat sliding completely off?

BTW - steering wheel fits a treat. Fasty is running as sweet as a lolly and now a few small jobs before we get some rego!

Sounds great! Looking forward to seeing it on the road! Now we just need to get Eddie to get that late notch of his on the road too!

Yeah, those clips stop the seat sliding right off.. but you have to go a LONG way forwards before the seat will come off the rails... so it would probably be safe to not have them

New reproductions are availabale from Type 3 Detectives in UK. Looks like about 40 GBP which is around A$100 plus postage for the set of 4. Not sure if these are exclusively T3D or if anyone has them available here in OZ.
