who do you recommend to host a website? needs to be cheap, Australian, also need a .com address, what is the cheapest way of getting one? I am wanting to setup the website for my upcoming car show.

Go with godaddy for the domain name. Its really cheap.
As for hosting, I have asp.net hosting with discountasp.net.
Its pretty cheap, but it's only good if you need to use asp.net.
