The year is 1984 and I'm about to buy my first car. I had the option of a Triumph Dolomite for $4000, or a Porsche 356B which needed minor work to get it on the road for $5000.......

I find that any pre-80's porsches (pre look at me bob hollywood porsches) are nice, but 356s are super nice.
