Hi Y'all,

I put some new door trims in my car and decided to fit the old rear seat because it didn't look too bad. To try and make it match I cleaned it up with interior cleaner from the auto parts store. The seat looked brilliant until it dried. Then it just looked like it did before. It removed none of the marks.

So can anyone recommend a more heavy duty cleaner for the seat or some sort of vinyal restorer?

Thanks in advance.

CT I've been using some called Orange spot remover or something like that. It's made from Orange oil and is pretty good. I'll see if I can take a pic tonight.

you may need a 'conditioner' (conditioner is betta coz it make the hair smoooooooth silky!). From my experience, it'll be like polish to a weather painted surface - it adds oils (or whatever) and darkens and 'nourishes' the material...

"DISSOL" is a good vinyl cleaner - follow the directions, & will remove all dirt.
Can follow up with Armorall or whatever.

hot vasaline. Vinyl is a petrolium product, massage vasaline into it , lay in the sun to help warm and soak it, buff with a soft cloth and luxuriate in the smoothness 😘

I bottle and sell the perfect product. If you send me your address I'll mail you some. Made especially for vintage vinyl or leather and whitewalls.
Cheers

Thanks everyone. There are some great suggestions there.

I'll have a go with some of those products this weekend.

It's great having a back seat and no rollbar for a change.

Regards CT
