Ok guys,
So I got the 1916 in and oil temps are ok at around the 85C mark and stable (measured with A portable Fluke tempereature gauge and calibrated thermocouple I borrowed from work).
BUT
Q. What about head temps?
I borrowed one of those infa red point and shoot things and I freaked myself out abit when I say 120C on the head!
What have you guys measured as head temps? Whats normal and how does one measure it? (thermocouple attached to a washer around the base of the spark plug is what I used to do when I raced go-karts).

And that would still be the best way

300 F = 150 C
350 = 175

so your very safe

But i am guessing you wernt that warmed up if it was only 85 oil
