ok this is nothing definite at this stage but more an expression of numbers, who would be interested in a veedubber get together dinner at old bar if the festival is on again.
i have a few local contacts in the area and they could host it if necessary. it would most likely be a set dollar value per head and a set menu.
so whos in and how many?
ps ill be posting something on dsk as well about this

I spose Id better put my hand up seeing as though I live there.

This weekend has turned out a bit of a shit fight for me over the last 2 years, we get swamped in family members for the weekend & I hardly even get a decent chance to properly check out all the vehicles let alone socialise, (I wasnt even involved with organising at all this year), but I'll try & make some time next year.

Where are you thinking of having it?

my cousin has a cafe out there so thats where im thinking. he owns the beach cafe. we will be limited to about 45 people at the most

ok guys here is what we are looking at. we need minimum of 24 and a maximum inside is 30 after that you will be outside and i will be the point of contact till the 26th of sept which is when i need numbers by.
the contact on the night will be my mum and dad as once again ive organised
my life really well and will miss it, im in the states this time

Saturday 4/10/08 Old Bar Beach Cafe

Pre order by 26/9/08

Time : 6.30pm

Breads : - Garlic
- Herb
- Chilli & Cheese

Mains - Rump Steak - choice of sauce - Mushroom, Dianne, Pepper

- Grilled Chicken Breast with Prawns and Avocado
( in a creamy garlic sauce)

- Grilled Barramundi

- Vegetarian on request eg pasta

* all meals served with vegetables or chips and salad

Dessert - Sticky Date Pudding

- Cheesecake

- Ice Cream and Flavouring

COST : $30 per head

BYO NO CORKAGE

*Coffee or Tea $3.00

Childrens Meals ( under 12 )

- Nuggets,Chjps and Salad

- Fish,Chips and Salad

- Cheeseburger and Chips

A pity.

Old Bar is held back by clashing (ie. same weekend) as the German Oktoberfest in Sydney and also the Warwick VW drags in Queensland. Two events on weekend is bad enough, let alone three.

I don't know what can be done about this.
