Will fit late beetle, kombi and golf 1 (2 maybe??)

Attaches to the tabs in buckets

do they take the p43 3 prong bulbs like mainstream cars?
or the usual p45 that only vw decided to use?

OK - are you definitely the right way with your 43's and 45's??

Whatever - i believe they will only take the VW one (i thought that was the P43.... whatever)

I have bulbs for them though if required

bugger, so they dont use 3 prong then
that answers my question anyway
ur prob right i can never remeber which is which im usually arse about
but im chasing some that take 3 prong cos im installing a HID xenon transformer style H4 headlight system and u cant get them with vw style bases
i do have some semi sealed 3 pronged lights but being brazils finest the reflectors have more rust than silver
