dont know if this is the right place to put this, but im doing a bus transmission in a 74 bug. brought a weld in mount type for the tranny. i wanted to know if anybody has a website or info on how to perform this , like how to know where to put the mount to weld it n any tips so forth on how to do it.. i heard that i had to use the stock mount and then tack weld the weld in mount until i get it adjusted n then take off the stock mount and continue welding the weld in mount? otherwise im clueless n wonder if anybody has done this yet? heres the type of mount i'll be using.

I can post a photo later of my Berg mount on an IRS pan - but it has an L Bug trannie, so I guess distances don't help. FWIW, my mount is roughly 140mm from the rear of the torsion bar tube. I reckon the safe way is to mount it on the box and mock it up. I gather yours is a solid mount?
