Yeah I know – Another YouTube Clip!!! But I have to say, this one fascinated me. This is a 500 horsepower VW Kombi that absolutely monsters everything on the racetrack with it – including a lotus Elise and 2006 WRX Sti in the middle of a fast corner. Its so much quicker than the other (normally fast) cars that it nearly crashes into the back of them on a number of occasions.

The main thing that fascinated me was that it didn’t even look like it was top heavy and going to fall over, but I guess it could just be a lightweight body of a Kombi on top of a fairly sophisticated racecar underneath. Seriously fun to have out on the track or road though.

I can see it now – Going away on a holiday towing a boat and maybe a jetski in the back of the combi, whilst the whole time giving the Commodores and WRX’s a hard time on the winding roads and disappearing off into the distance on the straight roads! Ha…

i saw pics of the build a while back - i think they pretty much stripped a wrecked gt3 to make it.

Yeah! It has a great site with build pics. Split grafted to t3 kombi chassis with gt3 suspension and brakes etc etc. Beautiful job. Mr race taxi is in oz now and believe it or not, the bus may even come here.😂😂

It actually uses the running gear,engine etc from a 996 Porsche.
