i like to take this oppurtunity to thank those who wished my mother well while she was going through kemotheropy for breast cancer. She has officially finished all 6 of her kemo treatments and only has another 5 working days of radiam treatment left. While most people have been very supportive with my mums situation i cannot believe the mentality of SOME people who disrespected me and my family situation by not believing that my mother had this unfortunate thing happen to her. But on the other hand she has been the strongest person throughout this whole journey since it began in may and im very proud of her and the way she has handled everything. Just wanted to share with everyone her success and put it out to everyone support breast cancer as you dont know who in your family can be affected buy it.

from her very first kemo treatment mum didnt want to go through each day worrying about losing klumps of her hair so she decided to have a family bbq and shave it all off infront of the ones who she loved.

this is my mum with her best friend on her bday when she found out that she had a lump

this was the night of her shave

not a tear to be shed

and last but not least
my hot new mum with her 'wiggi'

love jess and jace

thanks
she has been an inspiration to me and her friends and i know she knows that she isnt the only one with cancer as i went to all her meetings and meet many other people in the same boat which also helped her understand the different types of emotions that she would have to go through. also helped her understand how much times and things have changed since my grandmother died from breast cancer. Also has helped me alot

Good on her- that is right attitude.
Have friend from melbourne who went through same a nearly 5 years ago and after Chemo sold home and she and her husband toured Australia for 12 months in camper. Bought another house when they got back and recently moved to Singapore when her husband was transferred. They are both relaxed and happy and she is fitter than ever been.

Hey Jess.

You know how we feel over here at our joint about your mum. We both think u have a super mum. She is sooo cool. 😘

I adore my mum and I know Tazz adored his (late) mum too. We both hated the thought that there was even the remotest possibility you may have had to experience the pain of such a loss.

They are usually the one person in this world (when they are as great as ours 🙂 ) who accept you as you are. You can count on them no matter what. Sometimes, to ousiders they appear to push us too hard, but its usually that our mum's are pushing us to be better than we think we are...simply to be the person they know we can be.

No matter what I have told mine, no matter how bad or how good it is, she is always by my side. Commiserating and celebrating. Same with Tazz'. These wonderful people are our own personal cheer squads.

And I know for a fact your mum means no less to you.

So three cheers to your mum now she is on the right side of her treatment, and the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to NOT be the freight train afterall. 😂

As for those people who spread such awful things about u and Jace when you had started to have courage to tell people of your mums plight. Forget them. they are small people with small minds, and such negative attitudes, you wouldn't have wanted them around you in any case. BIG 👎 to them!

So go give you mum a hug from me n Tazz. And don't forget the hair rub from me now its growing back nicely.

Cheers
Donna & Tazz.

I'm very happy for you and your mum that it all turned out so well! 😀
I know myself what it can be like having a loved one with cancer. I lost both my father and grandfather to cancer.

Hey Jess,
Good to hear that your mum's doing well, she's a great person and definately has a great charisma.
Give her a hug from me too, better still I'll give her one next time I see her! I know too well what it's like to have a mum with health issues and it just makes you be thankful everyday that you have someone so strong as your mother.

Best of luck to your mum, she looks great and must be a strong woman.

One bit of advice. Please make sure she gets regular check ups. I know it will be hard for her to go back to a hospital after what she has been through. However, cancer is notorious for coming back after being given the all clear.

Never be afraid to get a second opinion also. Doctors are not the be all and end all they would have you think.
