thinking of buying an audi90 sports.. 2.3 5 cyl .. anyone know about issues these ones have or reasons not to buy??
Cheers, Tim
i drove an audi 100, 89 model.
it was extremely nice, it had the 5 cylinder 2.3 in it as well, very smooth engine, not overly powerful but u could cruise or give it a boot and it would still shuffle you along pretty well.
the auto box failed in this one though, i dont know if thats a common problem but it would be expensive to fix. otherwise an excellent car.

Yeah they are nice to cruise in.. i just see heaps for sale with gearbox issues or head gasket gone.. makes me think
check for a delay in engaging of gears, clunks etc the usual auto stuff.
if you find one with a good box i think it would be a fantastic car.

Timmy - keep life simple. Use the force, you can feel that its a bad idea already ... buy Dave Beckers T3, excellent value.

K-Jetronic can be a pain to tune if its not running right , fuel systems on these cars arent cheap to replace !
