If your trying to log onto Aussie Vee dubbers and your getting this error message i can fix ift for you

Please send me a Email to david@clubvw.org.au and i will fix it ASAP

It appears that if your using "" @ $ ) _ "" or similar figures in your ID or password then it makes the system crash

Please try not to use these

I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

Hi folks,

There's a number of characters you cannot have in your username, and add to the list Dave has, add space, underscore and a few others. I will try and make these less of a problem in future, but for now, we need to get rid of them.

There's another issue I am chasing down with the hoster. We have really bad timeouts with our database from time to time, and it seems to be happening more often now for some reason. If you get the "Install UltimaBB" error message, I'm afraid that's what's happening. There are two solutions:

a) Wait a while and see if it comes back. The problem is that the database is overloaded for some reason. Waiting a little while should resolve the issue. However, it may just get out of hand, in which case there's plan B.
b) E-mail me, Dave or Brad and we will see if it's a problem. If so, we can relieve the pressure by reloading the web and database servers.

I'm installing some monitoring software to alert me via SMS when the database server can't be reached. This should be in soon.

I have periodic trouble logging in - sometimes the system times out?
