hey there,

i am new to this forum thing, so i think i might just brag about my new dub to people who might listen.
I'm only 16 so it is my first car, i inherited the vw disease or"bug" from my father who has owned about 12 or so in his life.

i bought her (1965 beetle) in jan '08 in fair condition for $3000, i then spent $1800 getting it mechanically sound and roadworthy (king pins, bearings, all that jazz) i am an absolute nazi when it comes to keeping classic cars 100% original (bar the 12 volt conversion) The colour is panama biege with dark maroon interior. i have penty of pictures on another computer so they will be up shortly.

i also hope to start posts for my fathers '61 beetle and his '73 kombi westfalia camper.

with any luck you'll still have it in many years when you are much older and they'll only get harder to find..
