I was just wondering today, what are everyones simple pleasures????

I was thinking of this while mowing the lawn and enjoying it.

I love the look of a nicely womn lawn and the saticfaction of doing something where you can see the finished product.

So as lame as they may be, please tell me your simple pleasures???????????????

I'm a pretty simple guy....surfing just about sums it up. Although corny/cliche as all hell, the saying "only a surfer knows the feeling" rings true.

Bushwalking in the rain. The sound of rain falling on the ferns and the lack of noise makes me just zone out.

The only thing thats beats that feeling is what I expereinced in Canada. Walking home in the snow at 2am from uni with very light snow falling on me. No sound anywhere and only the strret lights showing the way home. It still gives me goose bumps

Watching the kids being kids when they don't know you're watching.

Bacon sandwiches with HP sauce.

An open fire and port.

Watching an old movie with cool cars in it.

Watching aj play when he doesnt notice me, and is off in his own little world with his cars.

Watching n listening to my partner quietly snore/sleeping in bed beside me.

Going from room to room as u lock up the house, knowing everyone is home, in bed and safe. Pulling up the blankets for them.

Lying down on my swing chair as the rain comes down on the tin roof patio. Thats so kewl.

And beating the opposition to the plate/base cause u slide in at softball. They never expect a woman my age to slide (i love summer!!)

Finishing any project. The time where you stand back & say "yep, done".

A hot bath has always been my cure for any ill.

Feeling my spine 'collapse' into the matress after a long day.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.

Spending time with the wife (shopping excluded),
Motorcycling in the hills on a nice day,
cruising in the Dub regardless of the weather,
gardening & drinking a few beers with friends.

Now that I have a baby, my most simple pleasure is getting some sleep, followed by being able to eat something uninterupted and then being able to leave the house with baby chuck on my clothes .......
