Wow that is a nice garage. But too clean! You would be afraid to mess it up by doing any work in it!
Thats not rust, it's ah ... orange primer ... yep that's what it is ...

Hi

Nice, he must have an ugly wife to spend that much time in the garage or its heated and air conditioned.😏

Two hoists. That's positively indulgent. I like it. It makes my shed look untidy.

I'm reminded of something that happened when I was in the US in 1998 to visit Bruce Meyers.

Every now and then the cry would go up. "Who regrets not buying General George Patton's father's house?

There would then be a forest of raised hands and a chorus of, "Me!" from the assembled company.

The military Patton family is very wealthy and the house which is built as a fortress, is huge and on the end of a prominent ridge.

It had recently sold and it has a 19 car garage underneath it.

No junk - must never do any work in it.

I prefer my $280,000 workbench (I use my "spares" 560SEC Merc as a workbench, which is probably a bit naughty.)

I can't see him actually using the belt sander/bench grinder etc - his glasses and nice books would be full of dust pretty quick!

Awesome setup though, very nice bit of kit!

I suppose my oil leaky dub will have to be parked on the street in case it dirties the carpet.🙅

Hmm 15 x 38 addition. Mine is 20 x 40 with not a lot of scope for any addition. Could go to 42 at a stretch. There's probably quite a few people here with bigger garages than this guy, we just choose to fill them up with cars. Or in my case, 3 cars, pushbikes, camping gear, tins of dried out paint etc. No room for stinkn lathes and presses and flow testers.

I had a house designed with an 11 foot garage ceiling so that I could get a hoist and a full size snooker table. Unfortunately the cheapest quote to build it was $80K more than the off the shelf clarendon plus garage extension. Probably lucky really, if it had of only been 20 or 30K I would have went for it and been bankrupt by now. Assuming I dont need 20 or 30K worth of therapy down the track for the nightmares I have been through.
