I think I copied Helbus' pipework.
Here's the photos of mine:
http://www.vwkd.co.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?t=638

I connected the two rocker covers via a 15mm copper pipe and a T to one side of the inlet tube.
The thick one's 22mm IIRC from the crank breather to the opposite side of the tube

HTH

(Ignore the header tank, it's changed)

Not good mate, feel for ya. But engines are cheap.
I don't suppose it's your Alt/power steering pulley coming loose?

They cannot get the initial jump at the lights, and the look on their faces when you pull up at the next set of lights is almost as funny as their mates in the car ragging them because they are racing a Kombi. LOL
Even better when you're still using the original motor!! that really upsets them cause when they see a transplant they see that as an excuse as to why you won.

Never had excuses with a nice Type 4!!! More dumbfounded looks than anything....

My engine lasted for 460 000k's before it dropped a valve. that was 8 years of sheer hard driving doing 1000 odd k's a week.

If the Subi is a goner then perhaps step up to a turbo or 2.5L for more power!!

Rad was from Custom Off Road. They've modified the design since.
I'd re-read this entire thread if I were you 🙂

Also read Brendan's (71EJVan) thread, search for Surf & Swoosh.
You'll learn heaps

Peter's & Brendan's threads taught me loads back in the day

And yes Peter's located in Oz

Edit : COR's now http://www.customveedub.com.au/
