I need a new clutch cable urgently, I'm in Newcastle and all possible suppliers here are closed for the day, anyone local have one or can point me in the right direction

Hey Don.
Has your Apollo been shortened?
it looks like it has. If so you will need to get a new one.

I can't tell in this pic.

Cheers

yep, shortened, but have just had a thought that even one broken at the clutch end would probably do, then I have never replaced a clutch cable before. Apollo ? is that a model of the Kalita, Still learning ya know.

Yes, You may do with one that has broken and is still long enough to do the job

You could use any cable the same thickness to get you out of trouble..
just use a wire rope clamp on each end.. or two
will be a pain to adjust
but it will get you going..
bunnings should sell wire rope clamps...
and maybe the wire cable too...

Remember Nothing is Impossible

Just very hard and difficult...

best of luck

Hi Donn

You should have just rang me this morning and I could have told you where you could get one from out at Nymyers at Belmont north. If you go out there now and go around the back she would love to help you out if shes home.
