Just a quickie , note . Came home from HotRod Show with a big smile on my face .
My ride won , Competition - Engine , Competition - Pro Gas / Comp - 1st Place , TOP COMPITITION over all .
Big congrats from me mate. I know how long you have worked on this car and the amount of effort you've put into it to make it... well perfect!!! Just the way I like it and the only way you would have it.
Now to get it running those numbers you have chased for a long time too.....

Awesome display, disappointed I missed it.
Thanks to everyone ! We had a cool display this year , every year our display is getting better .Hope Craig was happy with the week-end and some none vw folks may turn up to Warwick ( vw folks have no excuse !! )
The good thing to me , is my car isn't finished yet . I havn't set a time or race day to hit the track yet (soon for testing )
I will be posting pics up on web site shortly .
maybe if there was some old fathful madjenta on the front,there may have been some more trophies,just kidding.

This is good for parking, with chopped front and back,
Poor old lange will roll in his grave,
at least i don't have to pay for parking as i can go under the toll boom gate
Motor is out of car , to give it a freshen up for warwick event . Well found lots ,to work on , 1split barrel , needs new conrod bearings , putting in main bearings as well ( rear main bearings has to be made from 2 sets ) , needs barrels to ,heads are getting check out to ( heads have been loose ) ,crack is getting a polish job .
At Jambo the clutch disc riverts started hitting crack bolts so clutch wasn't locking up , so this is first job to look at .
Have pulled front end apart again to replace trailing arm bushes with real JT brand ones .
More work but thats what makes vw's fun and fast !
