Well thought I had it under control. Car just needed some minor tweeking with interior and few wiring jobs . Screens were going in tomorrow (today its now 1.30am) curtosy of Vintage as that would have been the only drama.

Anyway, went to move the car , no gear selection. Forgot I took off the coupling,the coupling thing that joins your selector rod to the gearbox 🙁 Dont know where I put the new one.

Funny thing as tired as I am and all the work put in, Im not angry, just going for a short man cry!

isnt it fixed to the gear shift rod ??? may be inside the tunnel

That a shame, I think I might have a used one bug one, Im sure they are the same as the Type 3 ones.

I took mine off as it was warped and got a new one after I took the whole shaft out for a tidy up and re-grease. Its an easy fix, but the problem is because I did it 4 months ago, I forgot to put the new one on and now its lost. Found this out at 1am and because the car had to be at Vintage 7.30am, no chance as I have the 2 girls today and wasnt going to put them in a car without windscreens and the wife has gone to work already. Wasnt meant to be...........................Valla here we come!
