This motor was rebuilt 4 or 5 years back and only done about 6000-8000 KMs a year. Had a 009 dissy with electronic ignition on it early last year with a new Carby about 1-2 months after that. Also new clutch about 8 month ago.
All this work and all services done By Jack and the boys at Gold Coast Vee Dub.
I'm about to put the motor out and take it back down to Jacks for valves adjust/service. If your quick you can test in car up and down my street (no rego) before I pull it out. Will be polished up before sale, I have Inox sprayed over it when I'm not showing it off.
Listing it here 1st before it goes on ebay.

what you reckon it would cost to get it down to SA?
How badly do you need the money? (As in i could put a deposit down by end of week and pay it off ehen i next get paid)

Reason for selling?

In all honesty is it still in good nick (dont want to replace a dudd motor with another dudd :P)

Anyone in QLD willing to go take a gander for me?

this motor hasn't done very much work at all. It will be serviced and I'll ask for a motor report. reason for sale is the bug is being cut up and I was going to keep the motor for the next project But need the money for the next project...to send to SA would be another 450>500 I would think so not really worth your while, might as well rebuild your own motor once you add it all up.
for the other guys, you can also call my home # 0755308721 for a test drive before I pull it out.

no worries...
Have just been asked if it has "does it have the 3 point kombi crossbar holes in rear of case?"
this is something I don't know, can anybody shed some light on this? its an original Sbug 1600 motor 1971.
Any ideas??
Rob.

if its an original bug motor then no it wont have
but a few bugs have had kombi/type3 motors fitted over the years

its the 3 threaded holes around the oil pump that the kombi/type3 engine support bolts to

my engines built on a new universal case so its got them
heres what they look like
