Anyone got or know where I can get the chunky rubber strip(s) that run the length of fatchick bumpers...

don't mind second hand in reasonable nick or new...

local??? I'm in Melb - but happy to buy interstate or O/S if need be!

Last i heard a VW shop in Sydney had them, but the wrong sort.
I believe he had the American ones which stop short as they have an end cap

CP1 is suppose to sell them but i believe they suffer the same fate.

The fronts are only the 3 piece and they are worth a bomb.
I have a receipt for the ones on my car from about 5 years ago and they were $276 + GST + clips.

If you are really interested in a 3 piece front i may be able to hlp

Holy shit

I remember ripping one off a bumper about three months ago... was a three piece - had no idea they were so hard to get...

hope they are still sitting on the workshop floor amongst the mess... but I doubt it....


maybe I'm off to Clark Rubber and then go get some contact glue...lol - just wanted to fill the gap on my overriders...



but please let me know the deal on whatever you might be able to help with - cheers for the heads up!

there hard to find mainly of the later 74 on bugs when removing be careful as they BEND easy and are impossible to straighten also they have a percuilar attach clip which may be hard to find as well

the bumper also has to have the holes in it for the strips to fit
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true
