I wish to sell the engine from my beach buggy.
It's a 12 volt single port from a 70 model 1500. The previous owner claims to have had it rebuilt to 1600cc 30,000 ago but I cant verify this. ( so I can't say honestly if it's a 1500 or a 1600- sorry)
Since I've had it its done less than 100 km. It was essentially just to get my buggy registered before something wicked gets fitted.
In the last 100km (yes only two drives) it's had the crank seal done (when I put the new clutch in.) New spring loaded type pushrod tubes fitted ( I hate leaks) Sand seal and indexed pulley fitted and a brand new carby fitted (31pict) plugs etc are all new.flywheel was machined. new oil grill doodad fitted, motor was detailed, painted and all the nuts replaced with chrome nylocks.
It has finned alloy empi rocker covers and assorted chrome bits. It has the screw down type oil filler with a billet cap. Alternator stand is aftermarket chrome job. tappets and clearances just done.
I wish to keep the exhaust, starter motor, clutch assembly, dizzy, and alternator.
If someone wants the tinware with the engine thats cool- but it was in a buggy, so if you've got a bug you'll need the original gear.
Doesn't blow smoke or use oil. Starts easy, runs good.
Can test ride in car( will be in car for the next two weeks)
