Hi Guy's, It may seem like stupid question,is there a knack in removing the front seats from a 73 Super Bug?
I have completely dismantled the rest of the car........barring the seats!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Ron

You just undo the spring underneath the seat and then lift the lever at the front and slide the seat forward until it clears the rails.
Well at least thats what you do on my 74 non super, not sure if its the same.

My 74 Super works the same way that Simon described, but we did have to help it over a tab that was acting as a stopper if I remember rightly.

yup theres a locking tab that stops the seats sliding forward off the rails

its a leaf spring type thing
there on the righ hand side rails at the front
passenger side is a right royal pain in the arse cos its down between the rail and the central tunnel

push them down with a big screw driver while sliding the seat forward 👍

I did this today, best thing is undo the spring (if its still there) lift up the thing that lets the seat slide, best to have someone in the front doing that and then you sit in the back seat put your feelt on the chars legs and push left a nit push right a bit and in the end it will slide right off.
