as dumb as it sounds i cant get a belt to fit on my t1 engine. rod built me the engine and supplied it with one of those degree pulleys. we have tried sizes from 915mm down to 890mm and that is even to big with no spacers then tried a 875mm with all the spacers and that is to small. tried finding a 880,885mm belt but no luck as yet.

im thinking go back to the stock pulley meanwile.

any suggestions???

The stock pulley should be the same size as the degree pulley

Unless it is a power pulley - which is smaller (spins the fan less and cools less)
If that is the case then yes - it is a different pulley and i have no idea what size 😀

Try a agricultural place, they have lots of belts to suit machinery, should find one there.

Make sure you run spacers in between the pulleys. This will stop the two halves bottoming out and hence giving you a loose belt, and between the outer pulley and the bell.

Keeps everything aligned.

Cheers Col

Hi

Bosch & Dayco only do 11A0865/875/890. So it looks you've tried all the common belts available.

I've used a couple of different degreed alloy pulleys

I use the Alternator belt seeing I have an alternator..

VVD sell these 111 903 137E 11.3 x 912mm

most other places will try to sell You the 905 generator belt..

My pulleys were the same size as the original pulley..

I think You may have a POWER Pulley which is smaller but uses a long belt and an idler pulley which keeps the belt tight and stops the belt from coming off at high revs...

Power Pulleys are for drag cars etc...
the Fan speed decreases when these are Used....
which can lead to overheating in traffic etc..

More to the point "why" would you want a power pulley??

If it is a daily driver get rid of it.

i dont think itsa power pulley, to me it looks standard size but maybe the groove for the belt isnt right. ill replace with the standard pulley 4 now then get another degree pulley.

any suggestions on a brand.

i just can't believe that a belt can't be found as the split genny pully has a bit room to go differant sizes does to show there are still things to learnt

measure the size of the crank pully and if its a stock 12V genny
give Vintage a ring they may be able to help you out 02-9789-1777

I am sure they would have a similar pully if the shop and be able to advise or may even have a belt if stock
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true
