60s headlights on 70s superbug

Hey guys this might sound like a stupid question but can you pu the 60s style headlights on a 1973 bug?? i just want that old skool look

Hi

You can fit early headlight mudguards to a non super bug, but not top super bug, so unless you want to do major surgery the only other way is maybe using fibre glass guards.

Maybe invest in some aero guards which are designed to mount the 60's headlights into?
