Can anyone confirm which Beetle seats will fit which beetle, I have a ball joint pan and I'm looking for seats is it true the earlier non ball joint seats wont fit? and what are the rules on seat mod's I.E. mounting another type of seat to VW sliders....

ok lets start off in the beginning
the early bugs had the L rail seats these were normally low backs this was until the supers in 71 or so.
the early supers and standards after 71 had the T rail till 74-75.
74-75 they went to the 3 point mount which is a rare seat now. this is the final seat.
the only exception is the 76 bug because it was made out of left over parts i think they went back to the T rail but am not sure.
the rails ive described are exactly as they sound one is an upside down L shape while the T is a T shape
