hiya all,

Been researching converting a bug swing pan to IRS. seems pretty straight forward but requires some jigs to be made using an IRS pan as a template.

Thing is I don't have an IRS pan to use as a template so apart from sending my pan to Custom VeeDub I wondered if anyone had some jigs that they had made to do the job? Or any other ideas I may not of thought of? a scrapped 1303 for me to play with?!? 🙂

Thanks

hey
yeah if you can find an irs pan or type3 irs rear you could make a jig
would be a good money make setup for someone
you have to make them spot on so the brackets are in the right place

69' baja: kombi box, thing spindles, irs, disc front, type 3 rear drums, 2 inch lift kit, 31x10 rears. 👍
New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!

fair point but there is nowt wrong with my pan and being a link pin front it may be more difficult to do as i thought the beam mounting holes where different to ball joint beams?

plus i like to work with what I have and not just whack something in thats ready done 🙂
