Talking to Dylan the Dubber, and we are planning on leaving the donut (corner of the Oxley and Pacific highways - near Port Macquarie) at 6.30am for the trip down. He will be travilling with his dad in the L bug. I may have Matt Ryan with me as well.
Anyone else interested in joining us for the trip down?

I'm planning on being there, but will bring the Golf rather than the Kombi. I still want to go to the Heddon Greta drive-in on Saturday night. This week they have Monsters v Aliens, Race to Witch Mountain and Fast n Furious on.
Bit too far for me, I'll be in Darwin. Bugger

Hopefully we will be there in the Bug & maybe my dad as well in his T3. I think we might have to go to the Drive-in on Saturday night as I would like to see all those movie, but I will take the VW GTI to the Drive-in bit more comfy & a little more room for the kids. Three kids & the hubby in the old beetle....I think I would commit murder...LOL😂😂😂😂😂
phil74camper is organising the drive in. If you want to go see a movie just show up.

I will be there can not make the drive in. although I would like to have seen fast and furious again I love it although I am easily please with car movies , it is a big effort to get the kids to come for the weekend have sold them on the cruise and looking at shops at Morepth. I will see you all at Wallsend looking forward to meeting some VW lovers.

Bugger, the drive-in schedule has changed since I checked last week. I don't want to see 17 Again; Wolverine looks like a big steaming pile but I'll still go along for the 8:30 show, and stay for fast n Furious at 9:50. Anyone who wants to join me is welcome.
Otherwise see y'all on Sunday. Rose I will bring a pile of Club Veedub membership forms - anyone thinking of participating in the Nationals supersprint on May 23rd needs to join up ASAP.

Looked like a great day, sorry we couldn't make it, went down to Wakefield to watch Rudi run and to check things out for the upcoming VW Nationals Supersprint. We didn't have a VW going to bring along anyway.

Thanks to the organisers of the day, Ian and Rose. Was great to meet other dubbers and catch up to Toddy and CamperPhil. Also met Anthony and Rolf.
Special Thanks to Toddy for giving my eldest boys a ride in his Sharpbuilt Buggy. They were wrapt and it really made their day. Initially they didn't want to go but that made all the difference.

Yes a few of us went to the Heddon Greta drive-in on Saturday night. What a fantastic place! A really well-run, family-owned drive-in that was absolutely packed. No chance to park the VWs together. Yes it rained and the films were crap, but it was brilliant.

Yes I could get rid of the drought if I visited every old drive-in in Australia - pity most of them are closed now.
Still I'm glad it rained on the Saturday night (when it didn't matter), and not on Sunday for the show.

Does anyone know who owns the light blue BUG 670? My bug look exactly the same! They could be twins.
Rose and Ian we had a great time thanks for all your very hard work I enjoyed the weekend so much it was very hard to drive back to Sydney. Another day was almost required in the Hunter Valley to round the weekend off but work called.
Great to see you Ray and Phil again and meet some new VW friends.
Yes Phil it is you (The rain drive ins go together) I went to a pub and had a meal that night at Mayfield with the family yes it rained the drive in must have been very close by.
