Current speedo in my '75 L-Bug is kaput (odometer not ticking over, fuel gauge inoperative) and to save cracking it open I thought i just check here to see if anyone has a good, working spare lying around they wish to sell me.

looks like these things are scarce - i was hoping Joel (being a BIG fan of the L-Bug) had a few hundred lying around 😂

Hi

I have one, it was in my sons car, it was rebuilt after the odometer died. I also had the face changed very slightly, every 10kph mark was lengthened to make it easier to see with a smaller steering wheel.

i actually did have a few around till recently
one of the last spares i had got the indiglo face treatment and is now in my bug and the original is safely tucked away
but whats really biteing me is i had the one out of my convertable and it was the correct 75 model with the right needle for your bug in mint condition and i sent it to an ex forum member who never even paid for it 🥲

only other one i have left is from sonic so its in MPH so its probably not of interest

Hi

It looks these speedos maybe getting hard to find.

This is what I did on my sons bug so that he could see the speedo easier, hes 6' 7'.

The advantages are, trip meter, 0-100 & 1/4 mile timing inbuilt and its settable for any size tyre.
