Hi guys,

Sorry if this has come up before but here goes.

I have just bought a new PC and can't log in to AVD using my correct details.

On my old computer (which I have had to go back to when on AVD) it is as normal and fine.

I am guessing it is an issue with cookies? Or the fact my new PC is Vista Home Premium? Or maybe a diff version of Internet Explorer?

Would appreciate any help as it is driving me nuts!😬

For those of you using IE on Vista, and it takes you back to the home page without logging on even though you've entered credentials correctly, can you contact me offline and so I can do some checking and see if we can solve this?

A short term solution - and I hate to do this - is use Firefox or Safari until this issue is fixed.

thanks,
Andrew

I have sent you a PM Andrew, I am assuming that is your prefered contact method?

I am using IE on a Vista machine as listed above.

Would be happy to help with a fix!

give your new pc a quick wash with some warm soapy water about 15l and buy a new mac and your problems should be sorted out all sweet.. 😂

Hi there,

This is affecting me as well now.- I can't login on any of the browsers I have (without a specialist tool that injects hand crafted cookies for me!).

You can guess I'm going to fix it.

thanks,
Andrew

I've put in changes that:

* True session logins (i.e. no remember me) work without setting a cookie now
* Remember me logins set a new type of cookie that should allow everyone (including IE/Vista) to login successfully. It may not keep you logged in, but it will as soon as I work out why this software combination is being such a bastard.
* Logout works properly.

thanks,
Andrew
