i have just fitted some headers to my bug and i was wondering how people are connecting their heaters up, from the fan to the heater boxes. i've got a few ideas but no need to re-invent the wheel.

one of the reasons to use aluminuim
u can usually bend them enough to have abit of clearance

its really only an issue on the RHS

I have exactly the same problem with my 1500.

The header pipes are directly above the heater box inlets.

I'm considering getting some flexible exhaust pipe. I haven't investigated that yet. How much it will flex will be the limiting factor.

What I definitely need is some heat resistant tubing that will not be affected if it touches the exhaust pipes, or is very close to them.

Will aluminium hose do that job?

thats my problem i dont think that the thin flex alloy tube will hold up to the heat for to long and i am sure that the flex stainless exhaust tube will not flex around the headers and into the heater boxes. im going to start fabricating some steel or alloy tube to fit over the header pipes like the stock exhaust.
