sorry for the crazy amount of queries tonight guys...
brains been ticking ova waiting for friday, my weekly dub and nuffin else day.

i got a set of these, but i don't know how to fit em. i didn't get any hardware.

How do i bolt them on? do i extend the thread the holds the rocker covers in place? or do i get extended nuts that hole the rockers and in turn put a bolt through the valve covers going into the extend nut?

cheers and thanks always,
Chris 👍

by the way i assume this eleminates the factory bail style metal strap/clips on either side that hold the factory ones?

the old mans engine has them

the nuts that hold the rocker assemblies on are replaced with barrel nuts like these

the rocker covers are just bolted on then using these

Hi Chris... I have alloy finned tapppet covers that still use bails and still use the standard VW tappet cover gaskets....
I have seen some that use an O ring or a different gasket..

Only problem with mine, the chromed bails I got with them... don't fit the alloy covers.... lol
Mick Motors is getting Me a pair...
they are higher than standard bails...
incidently, Bails are NOT supposed to last forever...
they do lose their tension over the years and cause leaking gaskets....
I have seen some that You could put on & off with Your hands.... lol
they should be very tight....

cheers
