After putting new rubbers and lenses on my tail lights the right one is playing up even though i'm sure i connected it right. When i turn the lights on the parking lightlights up but the turn signal also comes on slightly, when i put the brakes on the tail light goes off but the indicator comes on, when i turn the indicator on the brake or parking (not sure which) light flashes and the front one goes faster then normal.
Anyone have some ideas? I was interupted by the thunder storm and need to get my pink slip tomorrow for rego.
Cheers

So check at the light with the terminals or try follow the cable to the fuse box? I connected and reconnected the connection in the tail light and i couldn't see anything wrong. Maybe it's a trip to the auto electrician. I'll keep trying though.

Power has to go to a light bulb.. ++
but to finish the circuit You need Negative or Ground or Earth
connections.. [all the same]

the outer section of the lights..the parts that actually hold the lamps.. these need to be connected to earth/ground...
usually connected by screw thru the guard or fender...

when is the easiest way to fix this problem ie...

run a wire from the frame of tail lamps etc... back to a position on the body..

You can can away with using a self tapping screw on the body and the other end of the wire under the threaded screw and Nut that holds the tail lamp on....

its best to add this earth to every lamp on the car....
