I'm thinking of buying a Proton Jumbuck, it is the size ute that I'm looking for and the only option seems to be an old Zoob Brumby, any one here have first hand experience or know of any problems, there's not many dealerships around for them so any info in this regard may also help.

Proton is from Malaysia, and yeah they're somehow linked to Mitsubishi. Basically they use the previous generation Mitsubishi designs and components... sort of like the setup between Seat and VW... and a Jumbuck is basically the same mechanics as a Mirage/Lancer.

Known a couple of people who've had 'em and yeah - all good experiences... and in a couple of places it's even been the local Mitsubishi dealer that does both the sales and service on 'em !!!

I can recommend the Jumbuk , I had one for 2 yrs only problem i had was a water leak from water pump covered by warrantee . [never could spell ]
I shifted many tonnes of rocks , sand and mulch with mine , both my daughters borrowed it to do there own moving [ you beauty ] cheap to run and maintain . Only sold it as somebody thinks that 4 licenced cars is to many for 2 poeple . Sold ute for almost what i payed for it , check out on line for demos or low kms utes .
i started with nothing and have most of it left !
